What is IOP for Substance Use Disorders?
Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides structured treatment 3 times a week, for about 3 hours per day, without overnight stays. IOP fits between full-day PHP and standard weekly outpatient therapy.
In Intensive Outpatient you get more clinical time and peer support than standard outpatient addiction treatment, but enough free time to re-enter everyday living. Some people may admit to treatment directly at the IOP level, if they don’t need a higher level of support first.
People may choose IOP to continue work or classes part-time while receiving addiction treatment, or as the next step after detox or residential care.
